Social network

A social networking service is an online service, platform, or site that focuses on facilitating the
building of social networks or social relations among
people who, for example, share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections. Social networking sites allow users to share ideas, activities, events, and interests within their individual networks. A social network service consists of a representation of each user (often a profile), his/her social links, and a variety of additional services. Most of them are web-based and provide means for users to interact over the Internet, such as e-mail and instant messaging.
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google +. YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr are just some of many social networking sites and among them by the latest research the first three were proven to be the most popular ones.

This post is about social networking, but I am inspired to write something more about it, besides only mentioning the facts most of us already know.
Social media is a very big, useful, but dangerous world.
Yes, it helps us, A LOT, with our daily obligations, requests, with our life in general.
Honestly saying, I can hardly imagine my day without the Internet and social media.
Every thing consists of pros and cons, almost every person knows what are the ones of social media, but it does not stop us to waste more and more of our precious time looking at screen, seeing bunch of useless garbage.

Internet is a place of  beautiful,
inspiring and educational content. Social media, in particular, can be
very useful by helping to grow your business, broad your horizons, find new opportunities.. but just like it helps us so much, it is simultaneously doing the totally opposite thing, making us so antisocial and in fact, very lonely.
So many people, get so busy by the social media from the start of their day, quitting so fast to see the beauty surrounding them, changing it for some world that is not even real.

Likes, tweets, views, comments, shares, friend requests, followers, snaps…all of those meaningless numbers are  making  you “happy”, “confident”, “cool”, but how much does it, after all, really matter??

My genuine advice is to put your phone down for a while, and enjoy in the present.
Challenge yourself every day to spend less time scrolling through useless news feeds,
counting likes and number of friends, and make an effort to make real connections and true friendships.
Don’t be entrapped and addicted to this drug, it is your life and your choice. All of us are only responsible for our own happiness, and just after counting all of these numbers you pretend to be so  much proud of, try to use only one moment to ask yourself , is it really the right source of pure happiness we are all looking for..
Don’t be blind and let it all slip away because of some digits. Be aware and make a difference.
“Call me crazy but, I imagine a world where we smile when we have low batteries.
Cause that will mean we'll be one bar closer - to humanity”, Prince Ea

Blog related questions and answers

-Questions for midterm-

This post will not be about YouTube commercials, but about questions and answers related to blog and some of its important aspects.

1. Identify two ways that social media marketing differs from traditional marketing.
Several aspects distinguish social media marketing from so-called traditional marketing:
-The first is control vs. contributions.
Traditional marketing seeks to control the content seen by the audience. Old school marketers attempt to dominate the territory and try to exclude their competitors' messages.
Social media marketers "are more likely to host an online 'discussion' in which they welcome comparison to their competitors' products and group information sharing.
-The second is trust building
Companies must develop trusting relationships with their audience.
Unlike traditional advertisements in which consumers expect some exaggeration or spin to be applied to the product's image, on social media it is important to be earnest and down-to-earth.

2.
Why do marketers often have difficulty with social media marketing?

The process of setting goals and determining strategies is crucial for success in the field of social media marketing.

3. What is the primary reason why social media marketing efforts fail?
One of the major reasons social media marketing efforts fail is poor planning.

4. Why is it important for a company to identify social mediamarketing goals?
Before moving forward with social media marketing activities, an organization should first determine what it wants to accomplish and then how best to do it. Without goals, it will be unclear in which direction to go or how to ultimately measure success.

5. What is target audience?
Target audience is a group of consumers a company has decided to organize its marketing strategies to reach with their message.

6. Why are the rules of engagement important for social media marketers?
Being aware of the rules of engagement will help a new marketer avoid common mistakes entering the field of social media.

7. What is a blog?
Blog is a type of website or part of a website.
Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.

8. What are the six characteristics that typify a blog?
1. Publishable-cheap and easy for anyone to set blog
2. Findable- people can find blog with search engines
3. Social- conversations about mutual interest can occur on blog
4. Viral- spread informations fast
5. Syndicatable- viewers can easily subscribe and be visible
6. Linkable- asses to huge audience

9. What elements should determine the amount of resources dedicated towards monitoring blogs?
How many resources  should dedicate toward monitoring blog will dependon industry, your marketing budget, and the size of your existing blog following as well as how widely dispersed online opinion is on the relevant topics.

10.  What is podcasting?
Podcast is a digital audio or video file that is episodic, downloadable, and programdriven, mainly with a host or theme,  and is convenient  usually via an automated feed with computer software.

Hyundai

Hyundai

The Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967 and,
along with its 32.8% owned subsidiary, Kia Motors, together
comprise the Hyundai Motor Group. It is a South Korean
multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai is currently the fourth largest vehicle manufacturer in the world. The company employs about 75,000 people worldwide, selling millions of vehicles every year.

This is one of the best Super Bowl Commercial of this year, with more than 15 million views. Kevin Hart and Hyundai Motor Company did a great job, and represent their new Hyundai Genesis in a funny, but effective way. Comments showed that people loved it and even though they are not No.1 fans of Hyundai, they admitted, "First date" is a great advertisement. I also like it, and it is a proof that commercials don't have to be boring and corny, but can be used in a very smart way to promote a new product and get satisfied customers and happy stakeholders.

BP (British Petroleum)

This post is about BP (British Petroleum), which is one of the world's seven most successful gas and oil companies. BP plc was founded in 2001 serving worldwide and
making the revenue of US$ 222.8 billion (2015). Video is based on the BP in the UK
where its headquarters is centered (London, England).
It is about describing through a very fun and illustrative way its history, purpose, investments. Their actions such as helping fund Britain's services and pensions, taking
250 graduates in their UK business (2012), putting worker's safety in the first place and supporting UK business, arts, culture and schools are what makes this company socially responsible and ethical.
It has 383,106 views, and BP is responding to good and bad comments, involving
viewers  in a conversation by asking them questions, in order to know their opinions.
I like this video, because it sums up in a pretty short amount of time important aspects
of this company throughout colorful scenes and interesting comparisons.

HubSpot

This All-In-One Marketing Software makes marketing easier and helps business
transform. HubSpot is the place where all tools of marketing come together at
one place, at that one spot.
Today, in a modern world, it is very difficult to promote your business, even though
there are so many ways to do that.
Getting phone calls, emails, different forms of ads, is pretty much history..Now, we
have social media to do all that job. But there is one catch. All of them are disconnected
from one another, taking a lot of time and effort to become useful.
But, then there comes HubSpot, making "marketing way more powerful and easier".
It gives All-In-One marketing hub with SEO, Marketing Analytics, Social Media, Emails,...
all in one place. In my opinion, it is a very good software, which simplifies marketing and
help businesses grow bigger and faster.
"Inbound marketing puts all of your marketing tools in one software."
HubSpot. All-In-One.

Lego

"Inspire imagination and keep
building" is the name for this Lego
commercial, proven by a good
comments to be loved by the audience,
from young to older population.
Lego is considered to be one of the
world's most powerful brands, based
in Denmark.

Available from 1949, it made a huge difference in every child's life, offering new skills and a good fun. "Playing with LEGO bricks helps children develop critical skills like problem solving, logic and creative thinking."

Not everything can be learned from books, because sometimes the imagination is the key that opens the gate of knowledge. These little colorful plastic bricks help children to broaden their imagination and to think without limits.
Having the opportunity and freedom to make whatever we want, bring out the inner
uniqueness and creativity of every individual.
#Keep building does not only refers to playing with bricks, but also to the importance of  keep growing, building our creativity, expressing our inner selves.

This video shows us that not all answers need to be known to build something new and make something different. I really like it, because in the short amount of time, it gives us a really good commercial, simultaneously with an effective message.
"You taught me how to think and how to dream. I am about to make something, that I know will make you proud."

Free your spirit and keep building.

Colgate

Super Bowl 2016: Colgate Ad

#EveryDropCounts is the latest Colgate project focused on saving water while brushing our teeth, by turning off the faucet. It is a very good commercial, showing that it does not take a lot to help and save the community we live in.Drop by drop, one by one, we can solve this
problem, and protect one of the most vital ingredients for human existence.
It is often said that we don't appreciate what we have, until it is gone. Well, it turned out to be true in so many cases and wasting water is definitely one of them. Taking it for granted, not realizing how lucky we are to have it, will cause it to eventually be taken away, in some point.

I like when successful companies who have a big influence and a stronger voice, use
social media, as a very effective way, to make a difference and try to make this world a better place for living.

Colgate is founded 210 years ago and they still are making an effort to improve health, education,
and take actions to save the planet to prove that their slogan  "World of Care" is more
than just a set of meaningless and empty words.

This video has some good comments as "awesome"or "great commercial"
but as we all know it is easier to say something discouraging than to show support, so I am not surprised to read comments such as "Do they realize that they are WASTING WATER to make this commercial."
It is published about a month ago,and I like it, it is short but effective ad and the best thing is, that is  released during Super Bowl and watched by millions of people around the world.

Use social media for a good cause, spread the word, because it is not the Earth
that needs us, it is us who need the planet Earth.

Protect it and make a difference.

Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola is the most popular and biggest-selling soft drink in history, as well as the best-known product in the world. The key of growth and considerably increased power over the years, Coke owns to clever and unique advertising.
Because I chose YouTube as a social media for promoting a business, I will base most on ads in the form of videos.

YouTube is a very good social media, chosen to promote products or services in the most effective ways. Video has inspiring clips, little but efficient text, and good music which follows all that, giving it a full explosion of senses.
This video of Coca Cola is posted only one day ago and it already has 11,923 views.
Taste the feeling is a unique and very good name for this ad, and my personal opinion is that Coca Cola has one of the best advertisements.

Because they understood the importance of promotion, Coca-Cola takes dominance in the world of soft-drink market and make sure by posting new ads quite often, that their No.1 place is strong, stable and secured.
